The Hambela Wambena Washing Station, established in 2018 by the founder of Tega & Tula farms, is strategically situated atop the highest mountain peak of Guji Hambela. This advantageous location allows it to serve as a central point catering to nearby towns, and it currently supports approximately 3,900 producers. The washing station actively participates in various social programs, contributing to the development of roads, schools, and providing technical equipment and assistance to producers. Additionally, they extend aid for medical expenses and women's healthcare.

In Ethiopia, coffee cultivation typically occurs on small plots of land, alongside other crops, managed by farmers. These smallholders usually deliver their coffee cherries to a nearby washing station or central processing unit, where the coffee undergoes sorting, weighing, and payment or issuance of a receipt. The washing station then processes the coffee, employing washing or natural methods, followed by drying on raised beds.
Upon tasting this coffee, we discovered its exceptional approachability, boasting sweetness and smoothness with pleasant acidity. The cup reveals notes of jasmine, rich dark chocolate, black tea, and sugary dried fruit flavours.
